Have you ever wanted to learn to dance to slower swing music?
We’ll have you moving through the fundamentals of Slow Balboa in just one morning!
Originating from the swing dances of Southern California, Slow Balboa is a relaxed, flowing and graceful dance to have in your repertoire, giving you a musical match for those sweet slow songs.
We’ll be starting from the beginning with this dance, but some regular balboa knowledge will be useful.
These workshops are for:
- Beginners who’ve always wanted to try swing dancing but can’t commit to regular weekly classes.
- Swing dancers interested in improving connection, musicality, and comfort dancing to slower music.We’ll be starting from the beginning with this dance, but some regular balboa knowledge is recommended.

Have you ever wanted to learn to Swing Dance?
We’ll have you dancing the basics of Lindy Hop in just one morning! No partner or experience required.
Born in Harlem, New York in the 1930’s and now danced across the world, Lindy Hop is a joyful expression of swing jazz music and African American dance traditions.
These workshops are for:
- Absolute beginners who’ve always wanted to try swing dancing but can’t commit to regular weekly classes.
- Beginners looking to fast-track their learning or reinforce what they’ve been practicing in class.
- Intermediate dancers wanting to explore the opposite Lead/Follow role.

Develop your creativity, connection and technique in our afternoon workshop. Alongside other passionate Balboa dancers and under the guidance of our supportive teachers, Rachel and David, you’ll learn and practice new ideas, exercises and moves to level up your dancing.
These workshops are for dancers who feel confident in our current level 2 classes and are ready to explore more nuanced topics and more challenging skills. Our teachers will expect that you are already strong in your fundamentals, and are ready to learn at a faster pace than expected in weekly classes.
